Under the brink of ecological collapse affirmed by an internationally-declared climate change crisis emergency and scientifically peer-reviewed Holocene mass extinction event, the 8th Fire Run shares the message of PEACEFUL PROSPERITY FOR ALL as the primary imaginative force for changing our realities. Society's current systems need to evolve to incorporate the consciousness of Our Precious Mother Earth Biosphere before the Supreme Court of Physics arbiters the ultimate sanction upon humanity: extinction. This reimagining of society must be centered upon Our Mother Earth Biosphere as the supreme sovereign of humanity, Peaceful Prosperity for All, and harness socioeconomic forces in order to be successful.
MOTHER EARTH CONGRESS
The 8th Fire Run calls for the unification of Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island (North America) to form a decentralized, democratic, and peaceful Mother Earth Congress to lead this reimagination of society into reality. By trailblazing the way with a stronger socioeconomic system, the success of the Mother Earth Congress serves as the utmost compliment to Indigenous resiliency and excellence primarily thanks to Canadians paving the way with national reconciliation efforts. The Mother Earth Congress relies heavily on the grandfathering in of Indigenous laws into Canada's common laws--helping achieve the true SPIRIT and INTENT of the treaties.
SUPREME COURT OF PHYSICS
To uphold the ecological consciousness of humanity, uphold Our Precious Mother Earth Biosphere's rights, and protect intergenerational rights of the human species, the Supreme Court of Physics guides humanity's jurisprudence towards true ecological justice, natural justice, and climate justice. Expanding humanity's compassion to the entire Precious Mother Earth Biosphere to guide it away from a path of materialistic self-destruction towards sustainable ecological regenerations--ultimately preventing collective suicide of the human species.
8TH FIRE RUN
The 8th Fire Run isn't just a run across Turtle Island, it is a multi-faceted effort at achieving world peace, environmental harmony, and equality for all through a number of impactful philanthropic initiatives, including and not limited to, the Indigenous Lawmakers Journal of Mother Earth (www.lawmakers.ca), Rezflix AI (www.Rezflix.com), and humbly proposing Sagkeeng First Nation as the 8th Fire stopping place to build a Village of Peace and Truth-Telling learning places as prophesied by the late elder Niin Gaani Aki Inini (Dr. Dave Courchene Jr.) in his Turtle Lodge Vision (www.TurtleLodge.org (no association)).
The 8th Fire Run started during the 1st Fire Eclipse at the 1st Fire (Montreal) on April 8, 2024 in memory of Circling Eagle's (Wilfred "Bull" Swampy) beloved wife and grandmother of Flying Wolf Man (Kelly Dale Edwards) who passed on April 8, 2010.
The run calls for all peoples to unite in solidarity, wisdom, and purpose through the building of a Village of Peace and Turtle Lodges before the 8th Fire Eclipse happening at the proposed 8th Fire (Sagkeeng) on October 26, 2144.
These next 120 years - spanning 1,491 lunar cycles - arrive at a pivotal time during humanity's unprecedented population boom of young people. The Village of Peace will serve as a sacred beacon, illuminating the prophesied path toward enduring Peaceful Prosperity for all generations yet to come.
The Seven Fires represent sacred prophecies that marked the creation of seven oodena'wing (villages) around Turtle Island's Great Lakes. These ancestral settlements have served as vital stopping places, ensuring the survival, resiliency, and cultural resurgence of Indigenous peoples across generations.
Now, the 8th Fire Run respectfully and humbly proposes Sagkeeng as the 8th Fire Oodena, where Elder Nii Gaani Aki Inini's visionary Village of Peace will manifest before the 8th Fire Eclipse.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE 8TH FIRE
The 7th Fire prophecy spoke of two paths for humanity: one to materialism-led destruction and the other to eternal peace. The 8th Fire Oodena serves as a manifestation of the path of peace by uniting all peoples to build a Village of Peace and truth-telling Turtle Lodges to serve as learning places for countless youth for the next 10,000 years.
It is recommended that anyone interested in learning more about the Seven Fires read: The Mishomis Book by Edward Benton-Banai.
In addition to these materials, you can read more about Nii Gaani Aki Inini's Turtle Lodge Vision on the Turtle Lodge's website.
